November + December Newsletter!

Bringing Health, Fitness, and Community to Men and Women in Recovery

Hi friends,

As we move from a season of gratitude into a season of hope, we wanted to share a few important wins from November and December while looking ahead to what January holds for our community, our clients, and the mission we’re building together.

Community Wins- November Highlights

Chad & Meredith At WARM At SMA Healthcare

A few weeks ago, Chad and Meredith had the honor of speaking at WARM, a women’s treatment center in Bunnell.

Each week, their program invites guest speakers to share their career paths. A recent survey revealed that the women wanted to learn more about sober living management and personal training, so Flagler OARS facilitated a meaningful interview and open Q&A.

Chad and Meredith were grateful to sit with women rebuilding their lives, share hope, and remind them that a healthier future is possible.

Our Residents Serving At Pammy Pam’s Farm

One of our favorite moments this month came when several of the guys volunteered at Pammy Pam’s farm.

There’s something powerful about serving others while in recovery, where purpose, ownership, and confidence grow.

We’re proud of them for showing up with willing hands and humble hearts.

Helped CrossFit904 Move To Its New Location

Our staff and clients had the opportunity to serve alongside our partners at CrossFit 904 as they moved into their new location. CrossFit 904 has been a true extension of our recovery family, and it was an honor to give back. If you haven’t experienced it yet, we encourage you to follow them on social and sign up for a trial class with intense workouts, genuine connection, and real community.

Our First Thanksgiving At The Men’s Home

Thanksgiving wasn’t just a meal; it was a reminder of what community can do when we show up for one another.

Thanks to The Asado Life, our clients received a Thanksgiving feast worthy of celebration:

  • 3 smoked turkeys

  • 2 pork shoulders

  • Every side you could dream of

We opened our doors to the people closest to our mission with family, friends, mentors, and supporters. What filled the home wasn’t just food… it was gratitude, laughter, belonging, and hope.

To The Asado Life: your generosity fed more than stomachs; it fed dignity and belief.

To our community: thank you for believing in second chances and the power of a simple, shared meal. This was our first Thanksgiving in the men’s home, and we will never forget it!

Staff Christmas Party

Sometimes, the biggest blessings are the quiet ones. This month, our staff gathered around a fire for an evening of connection, gratitude, and rest. No agenda. No rush. Just conversation, laughter, and a reminder that we are better together.

HOUSE WINS!

We’re also celebrating a huge win inside the house with multiple men who are coming up on six months of sobriety. That’s no small thing, and we’re incredibly proud of the consistency, courage, and commitment it represents.

This season is especially meaningful because it’s also the first Christmas our home has ever been open. For many of the men living here, it will be their first Christmas sober, a powerful reminder of how much life can change in a short amount of time when hope, structure, and community come together.

We’re deeply grateful for every person who helps make moments like these possible. ❤️

Breaking Ground On The Women’s Home: House Of Hope

As we prepare to break ground on the House of Hope, we know there is still a long road ahead and important work to be done. Every prayer, gift, volunteer hour, and shared story is helping lay the foundation for what’s next.

Right now, we’re actively shopping for the future women’s home, walking properties, dreaming, and discerning the right place where women can find safety, stability, and hope. We’re grateful to be working alongside our friend and Realtor, Yvonne Glines, who has been generously guiding us through this process with care and expertise.

Thank you for continuing to stand with us as we take these faithful next steps. This home is being built on more than walls; it’s being built on community, prayer, and purpose.

Merry Christmas & Thank You For Believing In Hope 🎄

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given…”

— Isaiah 9:6

At Christmas, we’re reminded that hope entered the world humbly, through love, presence, and sacrifice.

We are deeply grateful for the men and women we have the honor of supporting, each life a testimony of God’s ongoing work of redemption, and for you, the community that makes this mission possible. Recovery is not walked alone; it’s walked together, one meal, one conversation, and one act of love at a time.

This Christmas, we’re blessed beyond words to witness lives being rebuilt, hope being restored, and community growing stronger through faith and compassion.

With gratitude, joy, and love,

The Recovery RX + Comeback Recovery Homes Family
