Bringing Health, Fitness, and Community to Men and Women in Recovery
Hi friends, As we reflect on April and May, we're reminded that recovery is never just about one person. It's about community. It's about people showing up. It's about partnerships, second chances, and countless moments that remind us why this work matters. Over the past two months, we've seen lives changed, relationships strengthened, and new opportunities created for those we serve. None of it happens without the support of people like you. Staff Wins + Personal Wins![]() One of the greatest gifts we can give those we serve is healthy leadership. In mid-April, Chad and Meredith were able to take a much-deserved vacation together. As founders and leaders of Recovery RX and Comeback Recovery Homes, they pour so much of themselves into this mission every day. Being able to step away and rest wasn't just a blessing for them; it was a testament to the incredible staff, volunteers, and community that continue to support this work. Recovery teaches us the importance of balance, and we're grateful they had the opportunity to recharge and return refreshed. One of our favorite moments this spring took place on May 23rd. ![]() Joe, Kristy, and three of our clients publicly declared their faith through baptism in Black Creek at Seamark Ranch. Moments like these remind us that recovery isn't just about sobriety. It's about transformation, healing, purpose, and finding hope again. Please join us in celebrating this incredible milestone. In April, Shawne had the opportunity to serve at Lowell Correctional Institution through The Church of Eleven22's- Women's Encounter ministry, helping incarcerated women experience hope, healing, and a deeper relationship with God. ![]() At Recovery RX and Comeback Recovery Homes, we believe serving extends beyond our organization, and we're proud to support our staff as they volunteer, lead, and invest in causes and communities that align with their passions and calling. Updates- Growing in Knowledge to Better Serve OthersAt the end of April, our staff completed Mental Health First Aid Training. This evidence-based training equips participants to recognize signs of mental health and substance use challenges, provide initial support, and connect individuals with professional resources when needed. Just as CPR helps someone respond during a medical emergency, Mental Health First Aid helps us better respond to those experiencing mental health or substance use challenges. We are committed to continually learning and growing so we can better serve our residents and community. Featured Story- Founder Chad Belger Featured on The Rise Podcast ![]() On April 28th, Chad was featured on The Rise Podcast with Pete Kuc. In the episode, Chad openly shares his journey through addiction, relapse, faith, recovery, and the path that ultimately led to creating Recovery RX and Comeback Recovery Homes. His story is a powerful reminder that no one is beyond redemption and that recovery is possible. We encourage you to listen and share the episode with anyone who may need encouragement. 📲 Instagram: ontherisewithpetekuc 📺 YouTube: On the Rise with Pete Kuc Community Partnerships![]() Healthcare Access Matters This spring, we partnered with Sirius Healthcare to bring free healthcare screenings directly to our residents. Services included blood pressure screenings, glucose and lipid testing, HIV/STI testing and treatment, Hepatitis C screening, primary care services, and access to telemedicine. Removing barriers to healthcare is an important part of supporting long-term recovery, and we're grateful for partners like Sirius Healthcare who continue to show up for our community in meaningful ways. 📲 Instagram: siriushealthcare 📘 Facebook: Sirius Healthcare 🌐 Website: https://sirius360.net/ Personal training with Jordan! ![]() We're grateful for Jordan B., one of our Board Members, who has been volunteering her time to provide personal training sessions for the women in our house. Through movement, encouragement, and accountability, she's helping our residents invest in both their physical and mental well-being. We may even have a Recovery RX women's powerlifting team in the future! Partnerships like these remind us that recovery thrives when a community comes alongside people and helps them grow in every area of life. Tour Divide with Dave! ![]() This month, Dave Parramore begins an incredible adventure: riding the Tour Divide from Banff, Canada to Antelope Wells, New Mexico. Over approximately 40 days and 2,700 miles, Dave will be documenting a journey of endurance, faith, challenge, and personal growth. We encourage you to follow along and cheer him on as he takes on this remarkable challenge. Throughout his ride, he is raising money to support the mission of Recovery RX and Comeback Recovery Homes.
