Bringing Health, Fitness, and Community to Men and Women in Recovery
Hi friends,
There’s been so much happening this past month, and as we look back, we’re reminded again and again. This work is not done alone. It’s built through community, generosity, and people saying “yes” when it matters most.
Staff Wins + Personal Wins
On March 3rd, our team shared a dinner together at Ford’s Garage to support the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. It was a chance to step away from the day-to-day and simply enjoy being together, something that continues to strengthen the heart behind everything we do.

Kristy spent a weekend in mid-March representing us at a local recovery fair, continuing to build connections and share the mission. Every conversation helps expand the reach of hope into places it’s needed most.
March 20th, we celebrated the first day of spring and new beginnings

We’re incredibly proud to share that Recovery RX + Comeback Recovery Homes, along with our staff, received the Certificate of Qualification through The Fire Watch’s “Watch Stander” program on March 25th.

Over 6,000 U.S. Veterans take their lives each year, including more than 500 in Florida. The Fire Watch is working to change that by equipping communities to recognize the signs and step in. We’re honored to be part of that mission because we believe healing happens in community.

On March 25th, Shawne photographed the women’s home. Capturing more than just a space, but the feeling of what it’s becoming. Because of your support, this house is turning into a true home. You’ll begin to see these images reflected in an upcoming website refresh.
Also, on March 25th, we made space for a staff lunch where we slowed down and connected on a deeper level. These moments remind us that we’re not just coworkers but we’re people walking through life together, supporting one another both in and outside of this work.
And ohhhh boy, were our burgers and food good!

Joe is smiling for so many reasons!
"Over the past year, I’ve met so many people along my journey who have poured kindness into my life in ways I didn’t expect. That kind of love and support has changed me, and because of it, I’ve tried to pour that same kindness back into others whenever I can.
This season has been a big part of my sobriety and rebuilding my life, in learning who I am, growing, and taking steps forward I never thought were possible.
For a long time, though, I struggled with insecurities about my smile. It held me back more than I realized and kept me from fully expressing just how happy and grateful I truly am in my day-to-day life.
But with the help of Dr. Alexander and his staff, that’s changed. They didn’t just care for my smile, but they cared for me as a person. Through their support and the work they’ve done, I’ve gained a new level of confidence and freedom that I didn’t have before.
Now, I can truly smile without holding back and that feels like another step forward in this journey I’m on.
Thank you for being another light in my life and a meaningful part of my foundation. "
-Sincerely, Joseph Hill

In 6+ years of serving this community, we’ve never had a situation like this… until now.
Someone recently reached out, ready to leave a desperate situation and step into treatment but they didn’t want to give up their dog.
Three weeks ago, God was already moving. We had connected with Ridgeside K9 of Central Florida, and asked a simple question: Would you ever be willing to board a dog in a situation like this?
Because of their “yes,” this person can now enter treatment knowing their dog is safe and cared for.
This is what community looks like. If you feel led, we are helping cover the cost of boarding so this individual can fully focus on healing. You can support through our Dog Care Support fund here.
Please also keep this person in your prayers. Big steps like this take courage, and they’re not walking it alone. Give Ridgeside K9 Central Florida a follow as they partner with us for such a great cause!

Please note that to maintain privacy, we are sharing one of the dogs from Ridgeside K9 Central FL, because who doesn't love seeing a photo of a dog!
House Updates:
We’ve officially completed our first full month in the Women’s House, and it’s been incredible to watch this space become a home.
Because of your generosity through Amazon Wishlist items, in-kind donations, and food support, we’ve been able to create a place that feels safe, warm, and welcoming.
We currently have open beds available:
4 beds in the Women’s House of Hope
1 bed in the Men’s D. McDougal House
If this is for you or someone you know, we’re here. A safe, supportive place to heal, grow, and begin again. If you missed our email about all the updates to the House of Hope, you can check it out here via the link below
Sober Saturdays: Movement + Community
Our Recovery + Wellness Sober Saturday at Focus Fitness was something special.
We had 16 people show up for a simple but meaningful morning of yoga, bagels, and coffee, reminding us that connection doesn’t have to be complicated to be powerful.

A huge thank you to our partners at The Brickyard for providing the bagels, coffee, and conversation. The Brickyard is a nonprofit dedicated to rebuilding community through shared experiences and meaningful connections. Their heart is to strengthen relationships, not through debate, but through doing life together.
We’re also proud to share that Shawne, our Media + Marketing Manager, serves as one of their Brickyard Captains, helping lead and cultivate these kinds of spaces locally.
Also, a huge shoutout to Focus Fitness! They have created a space that truly aligns with what we believe in- community, intentional movement, and meeting people where they are. It’s the kind of place that feels supportive the moment you walk in!
If you’re in the Jacksonville area, it’s an incredible, woman-owned gym and a great place to call home.
We’ll be hosting more Sober Saturdays, and we’d love for you to join us. Make sure to follow both to stay connected with our partners and other communities in our area.

Upcoming Sober Saturdays
We’re continuing to grow, more Sober Saturdays, more community moments, and more stories of lives being changed are ahead. These gatherings are designed to create space for people to come together in a supportive environment where recovery, health, and community intersect.
Whether you’re on your own recovery journey, supporting someone who is, or simply looking to connect with others who value living well, there’s a place for you here.
Yoga + Ruck + Coffee

April 25 at 9:00 AM
715 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville, FL
Join us for a morning of yoga, a community ruck/walk, and coffee!
Created to remind women in all stages of life and recovery that they do not walk alone. Bring a friend, your mat if you have one, and come ready for movement and meaningful conversation.
Don't know what rucking is? Don't worry. We have a rucking expert, Shawne, who is there to help guide you and can let you borrow a rucksack and weights to try.
A Season of Reflection
Throughout this season, we also took intentional time to reflect on what Jesus has done for us. In the middle of growth and movement, it’s a grounding reminder of why we do this work and who it’s all for.
Thank you!
To every donor, volunteer, partner, and supporter- a huge thank you!
Because of you:
Homes are being filled
Barriers are being removed
People are stepping into healing with support around them
Communities are being rebuilt
Hope doesn’t end when an event is over. It continues every single day inside these homes, and you are a huge part of that.
With gratitude, joy, and love,
With gratitude, joy, and love,
